Practicing Self-Love of the Real Me!

Practicing self love, came with the realization that I had to work on myself again. I had to tear down the walls so I could get to the heart of me.

"Will the real me please stand up!"

What I thought was me, was not. What my family thought was me, was not. What the world thought was me, was not. I had to dig deep and re-discover me. Living in guilt that no longer served me had kept those around me either buried in the sand or living on eggshells. I had to stand up, take the reins and ride the horse.

I had to come to love me with all my faults. That was hard.

I had to Learn to love the beauty of the chart lines of life written on my face and the body that was mine. I had to LOVE ME with all my heart and soul before I was ready to Love everyone else. It was a journey to the center and back. The challenges were difficult and complex but oh so worth the time and effort.

Self-love and self-care meant everything to me. Without it, I would be a total mess. I'm grateful for everything I have, and I appreciate all that I am.

Self-love and self-care are essential for Joy and well-being. They are the fertilizer of our personal garden, allowing us to care for ourselves emotionally, mentally, and physically. Self-love and self-care are about doing what you need to feel good to function at your best. It can include anything from taking a relaxing bath to eating healthy foods to getting enough exercise.

Self-love is about accepting yourself for who you are, flaws, and all. It's about being kind to yourself, forgiving yourself, and knowing your own worth. It's about honoring your own needs and wants and living in harmony with your real self.

When we practice self-love and self-care, we can find peace and Joy within ourselves.

When we practice, we are better able to cope with stressors in our lives. We can become more resilient, and improve our overall well-being. We can learn to love ourselves unconditionally. This love can then extend outward to others. We can become more compassionate, understanding, and forgiving of people.

So if you haven't already, start practicing self-love and self-care today! It's one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Love, Joy, Grace
